This chapter describes how to authenticate and send requests to the Alexa Web Search service.
The steps to using the web search engine are:
Sign up for the Alexa Web Search service at http://aws.amazon.com/alexawebsearch.
Get your access keys from the AWS Access Identifiers page of the Amazon Web Services portal.
Download one of the code samples from the Resource Center.
Follow the instructions in the README file to:
Paste your access keys into the code.
Execute the code sample.
The service supports two types of requests:
Query requests are HTTP requests that return XML
SOAP requests pass parameters in a SOAP envelope
