The Alexa Web Search web service offers programmatic access to Alexa's web search engine. The Alexa search engine is a web-wide search engine that indexes over 4 billion documents, and powers the web search on the Alexa website.

Note:
In order to use the Alexa Web Search service you must subscribe to the service by visiting the Alexa Web Search page at http://aws.amazon.com/alexawebsearch, and then clicking on the Sign up for Web Service button in the top right corner of the page.
