This section of the Developer Guide contains an API reference for the Actions (operations), error codes, and detailed technical information for the Amazon Simple Queue Service API.
Each Action listed in the API Reference contains at least one sample request to help you get started. Use the sample requests as a starting point for developing your own requests. Keep in mind that you should substitute your own Access Key ID (as the value of the AWSAccessKeyId) parameter into the requests before using them. Requests to SQS must also be signed, or authenticated. For more information about authentication, see the Request Authentication topic.
