Download the AWS Import/Export Web Service Tool
You can create an AWS Import/Export job using a command line tool, which requires no programming. If your application requires programmatic access, you can use the AWS SDK for Java or the REST API to send requests to AWS. This getting started uses the AWS Import/Export Web Service Tool, an open-source command line tool for creating and managing your import and export jobs. The tool is available for download as a compressed .zip file.
To download the AWS Import/Export Web Service Tool
Click http://awsimportexport.s3.amazonaws.com/importexport-webservice-tool.zip.
Extract the zipped content to a directory on your computer.
Now, you are ready to create a sample import or export job. Click one of the following buttons.
